Jurij obtained his Master of Laws from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Law, in July 2020. During his studies, he gained international academic experience through the Erasmus exchange program at the University of Strasbourg in 2018 and previously attended a summer law school at the University of Poitiers in 2016.
He began his legal career while still studying, working in legal practice as a student before continuing his professional path as a trainee following the completion of his master’s thesis titled “Public Undertakings with Special or Exclusive Rights in EU Competition Law – Assessment.” He completed his traineeship in 2022.
In May 2023, Jurij passed the Slovenian Bar Exam (PDI) and continued working in legal practice as an attorney candidate before being admitted as an attorney in 2025. He is a member of the Slovenian Bar Association (OZS).
Jurij’s professional practice focuses primarily on dispute resolution, banking and finance, corporate law, and sports law. His experience includes advising clients on commercial disputes, financial matters, and corporate issues, as well as legal matters related to sports organizations and athletes.
In addition to his legal practice, Jurij has contributed to legal scholarship. His article titled “O nadomestilih za vzgojo amaterskih športnikov” was published in the legal journal Odvetnik (Issue 100, Summer 2021).
Jurij is fluent in Slovenian, English, and French, and also works with Croatian.
