Marking the firm’s commitment to steady regional growth, ODI announces the launch of its new office in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to support both local businesses as well and inbound and outbound international transactions. Adding the fifth jurisdiction to the ODI’s roster, the Bosnian market entry will allow for further enhancement of seamless and steadfast cross-border regional assistance to ODI’s clients.
ODI will work in close cooperation with the team of Bosnian lawyers lead by Partner Mia Čivić, who has an established presence in the Bosnian business community, and is held in high regard by the international law firms and international enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina alike. A seasoned attorney with over 20 years of bi-jurisdictional Bosnian experience assisting large international enterprises, Mia’s core practice areas include Corporate and Business law, Banking and Finance, Commercial law, Dispute resolution, Bankruptcy and Restructuring with significant legal practice in the field of Criminal law and Labour law.
Having previously plied her trade at a top-tier Sarajevo law firm, Mia is joining ODI on the back of a four-year spell as Head of Legal of two biggest oil companies from MOL-INA Group in Bosnia and Herzegovina, HOLDINA d.o.o. and ENERGOPETROL d.d., and was also in charge of Legal Department in telecommunication sector for TELEMACH d.o.o. Being licenced with the Bar Association of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mia studied law at the Law Faculty in Ljubljana (Slovenia), and holds a master’s degree from the University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). She is fluent in English, Slovenian and German.
